The Perfumer's Apprentice is the pioneering brand in the vape market, and more specifically in DIY concentrates. It was founded in 2004 in the USA by Linda Andrews. They started out in Santa Cruz as a small boutique. Customers could come and learn about perfumery and chemistry through sessions where they could test as many fragrances as they wished. The brand then expanded onto the web, where it became the main source of information on the subject of aromatization, notably from John Steele, a company specializing in essential oils. TPA still offers perfumery classes in California, where their students design their own scents. In 2009, they founded a food and vapor creation branch called The Flavor Apprentice. Today, they have over 250 flavors and concentrates of all types.
